SftTree/NET 2.0

The BETA program has been ended and the product has been released.

11/01/07 8:00 AM - These problems were corrected in the final release version:

• If the containing form's Font property is changed, the control may lose its Headers.Font, Footers.Font or Font property.

• Headers and footers could be sized incorrectly when opening a form at design-time.

10/25/07 8:00 PM - An updated BETA version is available. Please uninstall the previous BETA version, then install this new version. Your applications will continue to compile and run without any changes.

Changes:

• We fixed IntelliSense, which was not working (we're really surprised not one person complained about this!)

• Minor changes (mostly renaming some of the installed files, not affecting an application under development and a few unreported problems)

• Headers and footers would not be sized correctly when the control was displayed the first time.

• The VisibleAppearanceEnum enumeration has been expanded, enhancing the GenericPartClass.VisibleAppearance property.

• Numerous corrections to help files.

• Removing columns, when some of the (item, header or footer) cells in that column are empty, would cause exceptions.

Changes:

• Installer: Problems adding/removing controls to/from Toolbox have been corrected (when SQL Server Management Studio Express CTP or SQL Server 2005 is installed, Tools.InstallCommunityControls failed). We are now using a completely different technique to install the Toolbox items.

• The DynamicHelp and IntelliSense information wasn't quite up-to-date.

• We have added an Angle property that allows most parts within cells to be rotated by an arbitrary angle (0-360 degrees).

• Some focus issues have been resolved by deriving SoftelvdmUserControl from the Control class instead of UserControl.

• Internal changes to address coexistence of SftTree/NET 2.0 and the upcoming SftTabs/NET 6.0 (which share help files and the Softelvdm.Controls assembly)

• Findxxx methods have been corrected.

• Added Publisher Policy files redirecting the runtime to use the latest assemblies.
