SftMask/OCX 6.5 - New Features

SftMask/OCX 6.5 is virtually 100% upward compatible to earlier version of the product. A simple conversion is required to upgrade a project to version 6.5.

• The visual appearance (colors) of the control, when it has the input focus, can now be defined (see BackColorFocus, ForeColorFocus, SelectBackColorFocus, SelectForeColorFocus properties).
• The DropDownWidth property now offers a new value, used to define a calendar drop down button (used on Windows Vista and above).
• The visual appearance of the up/down buttons has been changed (on Windows Vista and above) to match the operating system's appearance.
• The visual appearance of the drop down button used for the popup calendar has been changed (on Windows Vista and above) to match the operating system's appearance and now automatically offers hover highlighting.
• The visual appearance of the control's border has been changed (on Windows Vista and above) to match the operating system's appearance and now automatically offers hover/focus highlighting.
• Some internal properties are now no longer visible.
• Additional syntax documentation for C#, VB.NET, C and enhanced language specific topics.
• Installation and usability changes for Visual Studio .NET 2003, 2005, 2008 - User-definable installation options allow the control to be automatically added to the Toolbox.
• Various corrections to help file syntax.
• Support for Visual Studio 2008.
• Support for Visual Studio 2005 with .NET Framework version 2.0 SP1 and above.
• Support for C/C++ applications using DEP (Data Execution Prevention).
• Enhanced property pages.
